Vincent Barletta

Associate Professor

Vincent Barletta is a tenured associate professor of comparative literature and Iberian and Latin American cultures at Stanford University. A published author, he also works as a research associate at the university's Europe Center and teaches as an adjunct professor for the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies, the Center for African Studies, and the Center for Latin American Studies.

A man of many talents, Vincent is an accomplished Portuguese literature scholar focusing on the intersection of literature and linguistic anthropology and literature and philosophy. His work has been published in some of the most prestigious journals in his field.
